Standard Operating Procedures give you step-by-step instructions for the moving pieces in your business. 

Why create them? They help create consistency and efficiency… and allow you to easily hand these tasks off to someone and know they’re going to know how YOU do it.

Here are 5 SOPs that you can set up now:

Client onboarding and offboarding: What do you do when someone says yes? What do you send? How do you welcome them? Also, when their contract is over, how do you wrap up? Again, what do you send them? Mapping these out will help you make sure your clients feel taken care of.

Product/offer creation: You have a killer idea! Now what? Create a process, and maybe checklists, for planning your content, writing or recording your content, etc. Your offers is what brings in the cash, so you don’t want to miss a thing in this process!

Launch process: How will you get your new offer out? Have a plan for creating promotional content - types of content, where it will be shared, how often, graphic design. We all know launching is a THING, but if you have a set process, it makes it so, so much easier!

Customer service: Contract templates, email templates for common questions, processes for complaints. These things happen, and knowing what to say, as well as your own policies, will make it easier for you. Plus, when you’re equipped with an answer, you don’t have to put off responding to your client questions - making them feel valued, even when they have a complaint.

Content marketing: Having a plan for your content plan…. this is what consistency is made of. Types of content, how many times per week, whether it’s scheduled or live… having this mapped out will help you stay on top of the thing that brings in new clients!

These are things you’re already doing for your business…. so why not take the time to write out your processes?

I know, it sounds boring AF. But the reality is, doing this one thing will ensure you’re consistent with your creation, but also consistent with the QUALITY of what you’re putting out.
